KB Home's Shaw carpets with Anso face fiber contains recycled content, which diverts numerous tons of post-consumer carpet from landfills.

Shaw's post-consumer collection system keeps up to 100 million pounds of carpet from landfills each year.

Commitment to
forest preservation

We require all our lumber suppliers to make a commitment to provide us only with wood that is not from endangered forests or is certified by a recognized sustainable forestry management program. We also utilize building materials with recycled content whenever possible to minimize the cutting of new trees and help preserve forests.

Did you know?

Renewable bamboo flooring has many environmental benefits. Bamboo plantations have less impact on wildlife habitats and bamboo can be harvested four to six years after planting. Use of this flooring also reduces forest cutting—some trees can take as much 60 years to regrow.
