LOS ANGELES (Nov. 27, 2000) - Kaufman and Broad Home Corporation (NYSE:KBH) today announced that several of its divisions will hold regional holiday toy drives between Dec. 7 and Dec. 21 to benefit children's charities throughout the western and southwestern United States.
Kaufman and Broad divisions in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Texas will participate in the two-week effort aimed at providing gifts for less fortunate children. The divisions have partnered with children's charities that have a strong presence in their areas. These include; Toys for Tots, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Child Haven, Blue Santa, Goodwill and others, all of whom have joined the Kaufman and Broad divisions to make the holidays happier for children.
Kaufman and Broad is encouraging the public to take a break from the routine hustle and bustle of the holidays to drop-off new, unwrapped toys at designated Kaufman and Broad new home communities or showrooms. The toy drives give people the chance to share the spirit of giving with children who otherwise may be forgotten during the holiday season.
