As part of KB Home’s ongoing partnership with the City of San Jose, data from the ten on site air monitors recorded seven exceedances of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District guidelines during the week of June 14, 2021.
June 14: There was exceedance noted on P2, which was caused by contractors & PG&E crews working upwind, more water was added to alleviate the issue.
June 15: There were exceedances noted on P6 & P9, which was caused by PG&E crews using the access road near the monitor and weed abatement activities being performed upwind.
June 16: There was an exceedance noted on P9, which was caused by weed abatement activities being performed upwind.
June 17: There was an exceedance noted on P8, P9 & P10, which was caused by contractors performing weed abatement and HOA workers doing earth work and using blowers and brooms upwind. Additionally, the exceedance at P10 was caused by a homeowner that was observed performing earthwork, stockpiling soil and using brooms and using brooms to clean the street.
